James Gilbert — Christian Wedding Officiant

Welcome to Faith Based Ministry. My name is James Gilbert, and I am honored to serve as a Christian Wedding Officiant. I believe becoming an officiant is more than simply performing a wedding ceremony—it is a calling from God and an opportunity to help couples begin their marriage journey with faith, love, and commitment at the center.

I completed my officiant courses through the Christian Leaders Institute, where I studied and prepared for the responsibilities of serving couples and families through Christian ministry. After completing my training, I became ordained through Universal Life Church and am now ready to begin this journey of serving others through Faith Based Ministry.

My Calling

I believe God has placed this calling on my heart for a reason. Marriage is a beautiful covenant, and I want to help couples celebrate that covenant in a meaningful and Christ-centered way.

My goal is to create ceremonies that are personal, heartfelt, and reflective of each couple's unique relationship. Whether you desire a traditional Christian ceremony, a simple and intimate wedding, or a ceremony that incorporates your own story and traditions, I want to help make your wedding day a memorable and meaningful experience.

My Family

I live in Rome, Georgia, with my wonderful wife, Connie. Connie and I have been married for 24 years, and our marriage has taught us the importance of love, patience, forgiveness, communication, faith, and commitment.

We are both Christians and attend Blue Pond Baptist Church here in Rome, Georgia. Our faith is an important part of who we are and how we approach our lives and our marriage.

I am also blessed to be a father to my daughter, Kimberli, and a stepfather to my stepdaughter, Emily. Family is incredibly important to me, and I understand how meaningful it is to bring two families together through marriage.

Serving Couples Through Faith

As a Christian Wedding Officiant, my desire is to serve couples with compassion, respect, and sincerity. I believe every couple has a unique story, and I would be honored to help you tell that story as you begin this new chapter together.

I am excited about what God has planned for this journey, and I look forward to meeting couples who are ready to make a lifelong commitment to one another.
